1972 | Born in music town Nashville TN, relocated to blues town Chicago IL ('78), and subsequently exported to Europe ('80). |
1988 | Self-taught himself to play electric bass by listening and playing along with records and cassettes, and by jamming with garage bands. |
1990-94 | While in college, he collaborates, records and gigs with bands on the Ohio circuit, including The Mad Dog Blues Band among several others. |
1994-1996 | Moves to Boston MA, publishes his 1st article in Bass Player magazine on Carles Benavent. Also receives a modest scholarship from Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA), but politely postpones (in perpetuity). |
1997 | After crossing the Atlantic Ocean four times in a 300 ft. topsail schooner (bass & amp included), he moves to the city of Barcelona, Spain and begins mingling and connecting with the local roots music scene. |
1997-2001 | Records and tours with Sora (African fusion). Plays with No Quiero Rosas (Flamenco fusion) and Big Yellow Taxi (pop rock) in the Barcelona club circuit. Records on Cece Giannotti's Noctambulo CD. Publishes articles and interviews for Spain’s Total Guitar magazine (until 2005). |
2002-2003 | Forms punkabilly power trio The Cutterz, with Mike Cobb and David Varriale. Composes and produces music for Spanish TV (Cronicas Marcianas and Channel No.4) with CSZ team.

2004-2005 | Records Alex Warner's Uncut Diamond CD with Roger Blavia, Joan Vinyals,... Composes and sound designs short film Charlie. Forms indy group Sunstation, records eponymous CD and tours Spain and UK. Records with the Raoul Duke Quintet (trio). Also works at Redback recording studio (Barcelona). |
2006 | Produces CD Transitions for progressive rock band Sacred. Publishes articles for Bajista, Guitarra Actual and Cuadernos de Jazz magazines (Spain). Collaborates with Open Arms (Vinyals-Giannotti) until 2008; and with producer Rod Boyd, composing & recording for retro disco-funk DJ project. Creates Moongroove, an audiovisual & music production lab. |
2007-2008 | Records CD Voragine for 08001, Barcelona's iconic ethno-rock group; on Alex Warner’s CD Green to Blue, and also on Victor Bocanegra's Fonografies, voted Best Album award Finalist, 2009 (AMJM). Joins the Monica Green Band (soul-R&B); plays with indy band Caníbala, sharing stage with Pata Negra and Muchachito Bombo Infierno. Records for Dutch indy pop singer Dezibelle; and plays at the XIX Tete Montoliu Jazz Festival with Victor Bocanegra Trio. |
2009-2010 | Records soundtrack to Magic Journey to Africa, a film by Jordi Llompart; Monica Green's debut album Natural Thing (soul-funk); singer song-writer Koke Alejo’s debut La Química del Sol (pop); Cece Giannotti’s Pivot Point (pop-rock), awarded Best CD 2010 (AMJM). Performs & records BTV XV Anniversary concert show at Razzmatazz. Records live concert DVD for Cece Giannotti XXI Barcelona Guitar Festival. Tours with 08001 and plays 2010 Sziget music festival in Budapest (Hungary). Original music composition & sound design for Erika Lust's short film Hotel. Also collaborates with the VO Quartet, Nikol Kollars, Beth Trollan and Permiso de la Dama. |
2011-2012 | Performs theatre shows and records CD for Villon, Les Balades with Victor Bocanegra. Records live TV show Les Nits de Blues (BTV) with the Tarantino Blues trio. Composition & sound design for awarded feature film Cabaret Desire by Erika Lust. Co-author of electric bass method Principios Basicos de Bajo Eléctrico (Carisch) with Manuel Zapata. 2013-2014 | Records on Com els numeros verds..., 4th independent solo release of drummer Toni Pages. Performs live shows and studio work with Ensamble Tepuy, Shedobee, Joan Vinyals & 2 Moons, and John Ward among various other projects. Records on the Pablo & the Appleheads debut album Stars & Dots. Adapts lyrics to & from English for Juan Perro, Joan Vinyals, Cece Giannotti, Toni Pages, and 08001 among others. |
2015-2016 | Performing with blues trio Neighbors; Chilean singer-songwriter Nelson Poblete & San Diego guitarist Ricky Araiza; also with blues guitarist J. Glanzberg; the Deep Purple tribute Speed Kings; blues power trio JV & 2 Moons; and indy band Pablo & the Appleheads. Recording projects included new CDs for: 12 Autumns, Alex Warner, James Lynch. Perfomed with the Playing for Change band at the PFC World Festival benefit show held in Cala Llonga (Ibiza), September '16. |
